A large group of older participated last Friday in a new city program path leading hiking by the Department of Social Services in coordination with the Centers for Seniors Day IMAS, Cartagena I and III.
Specifically was Route 54: Road 33, departing Bastarreche Square, where participants took the LVEF that left the Union to meet the 17 km of this output consisting cataloged medium to high difficulty.
The path 33 is a legendary route unionense mining.
It crosses the Sierra Minera La Union and communicates with Portman and the Mediterranean Sea, through the Cuesta de las Lajas and the site of the Crisoleja.
It was built in 1933, hence its name, in order to join the Union in port Portman.
This run is the backbone of the whole, the old trail used by miners to transport the ore mined in the mountains, today has become a veritable outdoor museum.
The next output of this program is Friday, May 9.
This day will take Route 55: The Union-Los Nietos, with a distance of 13 km and a medium-low difficulty.
