Cartagena City Council on Thursday published April 10 in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia the call for grants to neighborhood associations and formally constituted party committees for the annual organization and implementation of the popular festivities or celebrations most representative and accepted in different neighborhoods and urban centers of the municipality councils.
The amount of these grants this year amounted to 85,000 euros, ten thousand more than the previous, and once published notice in the BORM , stakeholders have an application deadline of 20 calendar days, ie, until day 30 April, which must submit all attachments and supporting documentation in the General Register of the Administrative Building in San Miguel street, as stated in the agreement of the governing board of the Feb. 14, at the listed foundations and the accompanying documentation .
To study the projects presented a Committee for Evaluation of Applications, which will be chaired by the Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia Vargas is established.
The aspects to be taken into account when assessing applications will be the focus of the project in the field of Festivities, tradition and sociocultural relevance, correctly anticipating the scheduled activities, impact and scope in terms of activities and beneficiaries other aspects of interest appreciated by the Evaluation Commission.
Payment of the grant will be held on justification by the beneficiary of the activities, justification must be made before the municipal intervention.
The maximum resolution and notification will be 3 months from the publication of the notice, on 10 April.
