On 21 February 2014 was published in the bulletin board of the City of Cartagena Ads approving alteration of the legal classification of a plot of 2,120 m2 educational equipment of the Partial Plan LB-1 Barreros sector.
The file disorderly use was published on 18 March 2014 in BORM, setting a deadline of 20 days to file claims.
From SPCT understand that it is not justified the change of use of that parcel of educational equipment for general use, with the intention, almost accomplished, delivering administrative concession to the religious congregation of the Testitos Jehovah's use and enjoyment of this equipment belonging to the heritage of all Cartagena.
The neighborhood of Barreros account today, as evidenced in the municipal register with 6,734 inhabitants, and does not have a Public School Children's response to the need to enroll them children 0-4 years s neighborhood, means in practice that an added problem for finding employment for unemployed families.
It seems inconceivable that once again, the administration of Pilar Barreiro sacrifice the common good which is a public educational equipment, to satisfy a private religious congregation whose services, very respectable, do not have to get perks and benefits administration public.
Finally, it is also understandable that residents and representatives thereof, the travel agency of Barreros, have not been consulted by the City Council in a decision that directly affects them.
In that sense being on time and from SPCT argument we presented the file and hope that the legal services of the City made the team abandon the PP government of that decision unfair and misplaced.
