The Cultural Association of Tarragona ICUE Cartagenereos residents, held this past Saturday Mass in honor of the Virgin in the church of Sant Joan Baptista in the Catalan city.
Our countrymen forward to celebrating Salve Large Good Friday before the Sabbath so that Cartagena to spend Easter in the Catalan city, the distance might be offered to the patron saint of Cartagena love and veneration with the singing of the Salve endearing.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Reus and Tarragona.
Representing the City of Cartagena attended the Councillor for Social Affairs, Antonio Calderon, who attended Mass with his wife. Was also present the Spanish Armada in the person of Tarragona Naval Commander, Captain Antonio Bergońós.
As in previous years the mayor, Pilar Barreiro, sent a bouquet of flowers to be placed at the feet of the Virgin.
