Students and recent graduates of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) this morning have had the opportunity to establish direct contact with the reference companies in the Region XIV University Employment Forum held today at the Faculty of Business .
Youth may submit your resume to those responsible for nearly twenty companies and institutions.
The Employment Forum, organized by the University Business Foundation and UPCT, hosts various activities.
Among them, Coaching at your disposal, a space dedicated to advice to candidates seeking employment in a meeting with a coach 15 minutes.
It also offers presentations Sabic companies, Repsol, Institute of Development, Leroy Merlin, Lidl, Consentino "Project Boost" and Humana address.
The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Antonio Franco, has highlighted the added value of the experiments in the curriculum of the student.
"The professional work experience is highly valued by students and employers," he explained.
In this sense, Franco has indicated that 320 students are performing UPCT this course in business practices throughout the region.
However, the majority of practices carried out during the summer, when students do not have to attend class.
Franco has indicated the most valued by companies with which UPCT maintains relationships are knowledge of foreign languages, computer skills, the facility, the capacity for adaptation and learning.
Other skills such as teamwork, organization and planning, analysis and synthesis, problem solving and ability to apply knowledge to practice.
Practices, according to the Rector also complement the academic training, today become a tool for employment.
This course has already signed 113 new educational cooperation agreements.
The figure shows the interest of companies by incorporating both university SMEs and large companies.
