On Friday, April 4, at ten in the morning, will be held in the reception room of the Town Hall reading the judgment of the ninth edition of the Awards Mandarache and Hache.
The result will be unveiled by a group of young people, representing all participants.
The winners are being chosen until eight tonight by voting by the 4,000 young people who make up their juries.
The vote has been performing through the official website of the project ( www.premiomandarache.es ) since last Monday 31 March.
The IX Mandarache Young Reader Award is being decided by 2,346 young people from 15 to 30 añosque have registered this year and is played between the recognized Javier Cercas, Juan Jacinto Muñoz young Rengel and Murcia Javier Moreno, who throughout the course school visited Cartagena to present their novels and hold meetings with hundreds of readers.
Furthermore, the VI Hache Youth Literature Prize this year is being missed by 1,638 adolescents 12 to 14 years from secondary schools in the municipality, who will decide if falls on Elvira Lindo, Juan Ramón Barat or young Pedro Ruiz García , who like his fellow Mandarache also visited the port city to present their work and meet with readers-jury.
Both awards have a cash prize of 3,000 euros respectively, and a reproduction of a sculpture artist from Murcia à ngel Haro.
The two winning authors will return to Cartagena on May 8 to pick up the awards at a gala conceived by the stage director and professor RESAD, Nieves Pérez Abad, to be held in the morning in the Auditorium El Batel.
Besides Mandarache Award and the Award Hache (a winning authors), there are six additional awards to youth who choose registry departments and teaching or non-teaching institutions.
