The Second Punic War today reaches the Roman Theatre Museum (03/04/2014)

The Roman Theatre Museum on Thursday welcomed the first day of the seminar Iberians, Carthaginians and Romans.

The Southeast scenario of the Second Punic War, held from 3 to 5 April and is included among the activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans.

The interest aroused by the course is evident in the fact that he offered as 80 seats were covered in just three days.

The inauguration of the seminar, at 19.00 hours, attended by the Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia, Vice President for Student and University Extension, Francisco Martinez, Vice President of the Federation of Festivals Carthaginians and Romans, Daniel Pando, and Museum Director Elena Ruiz Valdez.

The course presents a journey, not only for the classical sources, which for centuries was the only support for those fragments to reconstruct the history of the city, but also the progress made ​​in recent decades due to the increase in archaeological digs that have been in Parallel to the development of research, resulting in better understanding the Carthaginian city and the beginnings of Romanization on.

The seminar, which is taught in the hall of the museum, complete with guided visits to the Punic Wall, the wall that stood Hasdrubal and assaulted the young Scipio, and Arx Asdrubalis.

In the same have collaborated Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the Federation of Festivals.
