The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, said after the meeting in Cartagena that the agreement "seeks to promote the work in line with the integration proposal by the City" and recalled that "ADIF will be responsible drafting the project, as agreed at the previous meeting of the Society, and what criteria will be low intermodality, sustainability and rationality. "
Sevilla said ADIF "initiated administrative procedures in order to apply the appropriate offer for the drafting of the new railway station."
After the meeting, the Minister Sevilla, next to the President of ADIF, Gonzalo Ferre, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, visited the grounds that the City made available to ADIF, at around Mandarache mall, to the location of the new season.
Sevilla reiterated that the ultimate goal "is to get the connection from Cartagena to the high speed network and the Mediterranean corridor in the shortest time possible."
