The future AVE station in Cartagena could begin construction during the first half of 2015, as announced by the Mayor Pilar Barreiro, who this morning attended the meeting of the board of directors of the Company Cartagena High Speed, which was first was held in the city.
The board of directors has agreed to guarantee the operation of the Company and commission the drafting of the new railway station will be located in the vicinity of the mall Mandarache, as promised at its last meeting last February.
This body, which met for the first time since the formation of the Company in Cartagena, aims to promote the work agreed in line with the integration proposal by the City Council.
As decided last February, ADIF will be responsible for carrying out such writing project criteria of high intermodality, sustainability and rationality.
In this sense, ADIF has approved the beginning of the necessary paperwork in order to request the appropriate offer for the drafting of the new railway station.
