The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, held a coordination meeting with the Deputy Mayor, Jose Cabezas, and the heads of the departments of Safety, Mariano García, Infrastructure, Francisco Espejo, Culture, Rosario Montero, and Celebrations, Florentina Garcia Vargas in order to realize the devices needed for municipal development Easter Cartagena.
This working meeting has highlighted the efforts that the City held every year to cover the demands of the guilds of Easter and the development of the city for tourists and visitors.
Along the broad security device formed by local police, fire and civil protection, which will be reported in detail at a future meeting of the Local Safety Board, the mayor has highlighted the work of the municipal crews, ranging from placement ramp to the revision of the streets through which the processions pass and proper signage so that nothing interferes with their step.
The infrastructure issues are agreed on the joint committee which usually coordinates the Department of Celebration, and attended by representatives of the four guilds.
This year, as new, the City Council has decided to hold two special seals and clean electricity, which will be available 24 hours during the entire Holy Week to respond quickly and effectively to any unforeseen.
The municipal government has decided to take these extraordinary measures in order that the processions are held with the normal, splendor and beauty of every year and nothing interferes with their development.
