Alfonso González-Ramallo, a graduate of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) presents Monday in the British Parliament an investigation aimed at reducing energy consumption in homes through an intelligent tool capable of recognizing the thermodynamics of the building using basic information captured by three sensors.
The young engineer involved in organized by the Scientific Committee and parliamentary competition.
The brilliant career of Ramallo-González led him to present his thesis at the University of Exeter and working as a researcher at the University of Bath (England), institution represented in the Parliament.
The young researcher project is to use the inverse modeling for building models to obtain real-time and then provide personalized advice to occupants that makes them run their homes more efficiently in terms of energy.
The scientist who wins the contest will receive the Westminster Medal Wharton, a known prize in the scientific community dedicated to young researchers.
In addition to the distinctive, Parliament delivers a gold medal as first prize of 3,000 pounds, a 2,000-pound silver and bronze 1,000 pounds.
