On the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day of Working Women (8 March), on Tuesday a joint effort by the women attending the workshop Promotion of Immigrant Women in the Intercultural Center of Pain and Old Town was held dependent on the Department of Social Services, along with women from the Alraso Association of Sorrows.
A total of 45 sub-Saharan and Moroccan women attended this activity, which took place in downtown Los Dolores intercultural and featured an exhibition on the origins of Women's Day and the meaning thereof, prepared by the students of the workshop's Dolores.
During the event, the participants expressed their wishes regarding the elimination of inequalities and discrimination on grounds of sex and, symbolically, lilac tie stood.
The day concluded with a breakfast where sweets and pastry dishes prepared by the participants themselves were shared.
