THE City of Cartagena sign this Friday, March 14th, at 9 am, a cooperation agreement with the German Kolping Foundation for young Cartagena can perform the Dual Training in Germany.
The event will take place at the offices of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment in Murcia and attend the councilor of Greater Employment and Sustainable Development, Joaquín Segado, representing the council, and Wolfgang Gelhard, representative Kolping Training and Development .
The German federal government, in order to search for suitable profiles in different professions in which they have detected a major lack of professionals in the nation, has launched a program of support for the location of specialists, with a budget of 139 million.
Kolping Training and Development, along with Kolping-Bildungswerk gGmbH Paderborn, considering the EU Mobi-Pro program, offer your own project based on cooperation between Spain and Germany, to give the opportunity to people affected by unemployment in Spain, entering part of the German labor market as skilled workers directly or as apprentices in a company in the dual vocational training system.
The Kolping Foundation is a non profit organization and is dedicated to adult education, vocational training, qualification and integration of mainly young adults (apprentices and skilled workers) affected by unemployment.
Last June, a delegation with representatives of the entity met in Cartagena with technicians from the Agency of Local Development and Employment to explain the program and set the foundation for collaboration.
In November, these technicians visited the city of Padernborn invited by Kolping.
There were meetings with the Foundation, the German Agency for Employment, chambers of commerce, etc.. Especially served to spot check the viability of the project and to raise and set a date for a cooperation agreement in order to give the opportunity for people affected by unemployment in Spain.
Since last summer, there have been three pilots who have served to assess the offered calls for dual training.'s ALDE has forwarded to the selection made ​​by the Kolping Foundation a total of 70 young.
Specifically spaces have been offered cooks, technicians restoration, restoration technicians standardized food, hospitality technicians, bakers, vendors bakery, butcher and lifeguard.
In addition, since last November, two cartageneros are already in Germany, in the city of Paderborn, pursuing a dual f ormation in the hospitality industry and learning the German language, which will bind the selected calls in the past.
This project provides funding for a young German course in Spain, financing a second language course and introduction to German culture and Germany, support for travel support to cover living expenses with a maximum of 818 USD per month, support for moving expenses, financial support for two annual trips, educational support, employment and social throughout the training period.
