Campus Ministry at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) is organizing the conference "Hope Vs.
Crisis ", to be held from March 11 to April 3 at the Palace CajaMurcia Pedreño cultural center of Cartagena.
A conference in which, through lectures and film, will speak of hope and charity, the visible signs of hope in today's society.
The head of Campus Ministry in UPCT Joaquín Ferrando says that these days will open a space for the economy of communion, which still practice companies from five continents, as a new way of understanding work based on " culture of giving "and where each person is valued in all its dignity.
"In the midst of a society that calls itself in crisis and due to the harsh economic reality that easily discourages a large segment of the population, trying to discover voices and realities, like the prophets of Israel, watered and enliven our hope in days. "
The course opens tomorrow Tuesday, March 11, at 20:00 pm, with the lecture "Avivar hope in times of crisis: The prophets of Israel", by Christopher D. Sevilla, director of the Theological Institute San Fulgencio .
This Wednesday will be the second conference of the course "Hope does not fail: A Look at the Letters of St. Paul," by Mr. José Antonio López García, professor of Theological Exegesis Institute San Fulgencio.
UPCT students and those who enroll in the course will receive 1 ECTS credit equivalent to 25 hours of actual classroom training, attending at least 80% of the lectures.
The price for students UPCT is 10 euros and for 20 euros outsiders.
Admission is free to cover capacity.
