This recognition, awarded ECTS depending on the number of hours of language and cultural activities organized by the Youth Council through this program comes in the wake of the cooperation agreement signed between the Polytechnic University and the City

Under the agreement of collaboration between the Technical University of Cartagena and the City, and through l Language Exchange program as the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena and the University Association ISAC, has agreed to recognize a number credits, ECTS, approximately equivalent to the number of hours that are carried out in different language and cultural activities organized by Language Exchange and the activities organized in collaboration with ISAC.

This initiative aims to contribute in a practical way in the development of conversational skills of students UPCT in different languages, as well as meeting people of different nationalities, promoting the values ​​of diversity and multiculturalism.

Another objective of this agreement provide flexibility to students to participate in the program, so that you are recognized claims relating to the hours invested in the program during the academic year or one of the semesters without pressure assistance fixed.

Any student of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, local conduct their studies in any degree offered by the UPCT, as students of international origin who are doing studies here by some international mobility program, may apply for recognition of such credits .

According to the General Instructions for the Organization UPCT Teachings in Grade Curriculum states that the ECTS credit corresponds to 25 hours s, such that the following correspondence credits are set:

- 1 ECTS students who invest less than 25 hours in the program.

- 1.5 ECTS credits to students who invest at least 37.5 hours in the program.

- 2 credits ECTS students who invest at least 50 hours in the program.
