The Department of Education, Employment and Universities and the University of Murcia have agreed on a work plan to study the use of public facilities that could house the School of Nursing of Cartagena and the funding to ensure the necessary human resources to provide teaching.
In a meeting with representatives of students in this degree, the Ministry and the UMU been established to prepare a report on technical and economic feasibility of the Centre, in order to put on the table all the possible options for the proper functioning of these studies.
This report will be presented to the student representatives to further establish the concrete to develop actions, as the region and the University are aimed at improving the conditions in which these students develop their educational process, as was reflected in the Convention Framework signed in 2007, in which the foundation for creating a public School of Nursing at the University of Murcia in Cartagena were established.
Also, both from the Ministry and from the UMU, emphasizes that any statement on the closure or privatization of the Centre responds to misconceptions about the steps being taken to resolve this situation as soon as possible.
Remember that the ownership of the School of Nursing, since 2010, corresponding to the Ministry of Education, Universities and employment, while the University of Murcia takes guardianship and academic management of the Centre.
