The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company Cartagena High Speed ​​SA agreed today to order the integration project of the railway in the city of Cartagena and locate the station in the same area Mandarache.
The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, confirmed after the meeting of that company, as part of the state, regional and local administrations, "the AVE station in Cartagena is located in the northern area of widening ".
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works in Madrid, was chaired by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Rafael Catala, and, along with the Minister, also attended by the chairman of the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF) Gonzalo Ferre, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, among others.
Sevilla explained that the Board of Directors "examined in detail the location of the station in the Mandarache, whose lands are municipally owned, allowing speed limits."
The Minister assessed the situation of the city railway station in the city of Cartagena and considered that "it is perfectly connected with the road infrastructure of the Mediterranean area."
Following agreement of the administrations represented in society, "gives way to initiation of appropriate administrative procedures to develop railway infrastructure in the city of Cartagena and allow the tendering of the works by ADIF," specified the counselor.
