The Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment and the City of Cartagena have three new mixed employment and training programs at the Youth Center and Occupational Quarries in Cartagena on.
A total of 45 unemployed people will benefit from these programs, which will last 12 months and in which the student-workers obtained a Certificate of Professionalism and receive a salary.
The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, today inaugurated such training for work, have a budget of 656,105 euros.
Specifically have launched courses Activity Management and Administration, geriatric care for dependents in social institutions and recording operations data processing and documentation.
These initiatives stand out as offering participants a working knowledge and proven in areas where there is a present and future demand job skills.
In addition, 45 student-workers receive theoretical knowledge that are completed with labor practices proceedings.
The workshops are run by the Agency for Local Development and Employment of the City of Cartagena (ALDE), which as pointed Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, during 2013 managed to insert into the working world, about 503 people, 42 more than 2012, and training was provided to 835 people, 327 more than last year.
Barreiro has also highlighted the work of the ALDE in driving entrepreneurship, through advice to new projects.
So in 2013 he contributed to the creation of 85, 35 more than in 2012.
Meanwhile, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, has indicated that the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment, through the regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), subsidize this year a total of 96 training courses for employment in Cartagena.
This offer, which represents an investment of over 3.2 million, 1,440 unemployed can provide knowledge to enable them to gain employment with 41,340 hours of training, 12,000 more than last year.
Most of these training -81 of 96, twice last year, are designed based on the National Catalogue of Qualifications and allow you to obtain a Certificate of Competence.
Also, this training offer is based on studies of the labor market survey of Cartagena and emerging occupations such as those related to organic farming or important polymer industry, in which the port city is the nerve center.
