The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, participated this morning in the day 'FP Young', in which 400 students from the previous level courses receive information and skills to develop skills to find employment and the labor market in optimum conditions.
This joint initiative of the Presidency and ministries of Education, with the cooperation of the City and Cartagena centers where middle and senior level cycles of instruction, offers students activities such as workshops, table-talk or 'coaching' of motivation to acquire skills to improve their chances of finding employment.
In addition, the counselor and the mayor have seen how students come into contact with organizations such as the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena, the Chamber of Commerce, Business Association or Cabezo Beaza Mall Open Cartagena, in addition to companies like Repsol, Leroy Merlin, Atlas Mediterranean Erhardt Mediterranean Maritime Terminal Cartagena, Hotel Spa Torre Pacheco, Overlay RRHHIbiza, Sensei and Imaginanet.
Regional VET students have also received information about the different European programs, the best way to enter the professional market successfully or managing social media to find jobs.
On the day of 'FP Young' in Cartagena, as well as students of the Integrated Vocational Training Centre Carlos III in which was held the event, has had students CEFP Isen Training PFIC Hospitality and Tourism Cartagena, PFIC Hesperides , Carthago Spartaria IES, IES El Bohio, Mediterranean IES, IES Polytechnic, San Juan Bosco CES CES and Santa María Micaela.
This complementary action of training to improve the employability of young people is part of the 'Youth in Action' initiative.
In addition to the director and the mayor, also attended the conference the Director General of Prevention of Domestic Violence, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court, Veronica Lopez, and the CEO of Regional Employment and Training, Alejandro Zamora.
