A total of eleven teams are already in place to give everything in the sixth edition of Municipal Petanque Championship, which began on Monday afternoon to kick off, by the council of Social Care, Antonio Calderon and Sports, Diego Ortega, in petanque Marfagones Mills.
The ceremony was also attended by the president of the Federation of Senior Citizens Clubs, Mary Beteta, and president of the Neighborhood Association Marfagones Mills, Elena Ortega.
Once opened the tournament, and l competition schedule begins on Wednesday, February 12th and runs until May 7, when the last day will be held.
Games will be played every Monday and Wednesday from 16.00 hours in the fields of bowls of eleven teams entered in June and will take the trophy in the Barrio de la Concepción.
These teams are: M olinos Marfagones A, B Mills Marfagones, Barrio Peral A, Barrio Peral B, Barrio de la Concepción A, Barrio de la Concepción B, Cartagena III, Alums, Vista Alegre A, B and The Vista Alegre Barreros.
Petanque championship is one of the activities organized within the Major Program of Department of Social Affairs, as part of the events that are coordinated with major clubs.
