The Mayor and the Municipal Corporation have expressed their condolences to the widow and children of the former municipal councilor in Cartagena between 1983 and 1991, José Miguel Hernández Gómez, died yesterday of cancer at age 64.
Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, the 31 January, at 16.30 pm in the Funeral Estavesa.
José Miguel Hernández Gómez was a native of Zaragoza, although based in Cartagena for many years, where he has developed his professional career as a veterinarian.
In 1983 he was elected alderman of the PSOE lists.
With the Socialist mayor Juan Martínez Simon was councilman of Health.
In 1987 he was re-elected councilor, this time as an independent in PCAN lists.
With the cantonal Mayor Antonio Vallej or was councilman of Culture, Sports, Finance and Personnel, to 1991.
