After a close deliberation the jury members of the ninth edition of the STEP Award yesterday decided to grant the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Refuge Murcia STEPS Award 2014.

This brotherhood, founded in 1942, from the beginning not admitted women as full-fledged brother because their female components could only be part of the same brotherhood as assigned, without the right to participate in their councils, or to vote and allowing only participate in the procession as Ladies blanket.

Thanks to the reforms undertaken by its Board, its statutes finally allowed to participate in the Refuge brothers igualad going to have the same rights as men in the same.
