Through a course, held on 21, 23 and 29 January, the police learn resuscitation techniques and use of AED devices to help decrease mortality from cardiac arrest
The School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena (SPACE) organized within the municipal Training Plan A Course Semi Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), held on 21, 23 and 29 January.
The objective of this training aimed at the local police officers, is to reduce mortality and sequelae that cause cardiac arrest, in addition to spreading the Basic Life Support techniques among ancillary personnel in accordance with the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council, help boost strategies for early defibrillation in cardiac arrest response and facilitate the integration of the different actors involved in the chain of survival.
Among the subjects to be taught include:
Introduction to CPR.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Training Basic Life Support (BLS).
Semiautomatic External Defibrillator (AED).
Plan to survive a heart attack.
The course is taught by medical personnel approved by the Directorate General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the CARM.
