The Governing Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) at its last meeting approved the implementation of this course from the Master in Management of Global Security, whose title is recognized by the Ministry of Interior and enables to perform the functions of Director of Security.
The masters, led by Professor José Nieto, will last a year and will consist of 540 hours, which begin teaching from March.
Among teachers include various title responsible for the Forces of State Security, the local police in Cartagena, Murcia City Hall, the prosecution, the Government Office and several security companies.
The application period for the master is run from 1 to 13 February and the stage of registration of 14 to 28 March.
A maximum of 100 seats and offer a minimum of thirty students is required.
To facilitate participation in the Master's students from around the country, teaching will be blended, giving students the option of attending classes or follow them via video through a web platform.
The main topics of the master is structured into three progressive modules.
First, for the general security framework, provide access to the title of Specialist in Safety Basics.
With the second-oriented planning and management, empowerment and security director will be achieved, and after passing the third and last, focused on risk analysis and practical application, students will achieve the title of Master in Management Comprehensive Security.
Thus UPCT gets this master, who for three years not taught, and adapts to the new regulations.
The collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena with the Forces of State Security has also been reflected in other training initiatives as a course for local police officers and a summer course on topography applied to the reconstruction of traffic accidents, as well as a conference national fire prevention.
