Falls palm trees, street lights, awnings, blinds, TV antennas or telephone wires, were protagonists of up to twenty interventions that had to carry out the Fire in Cartagena since late Tuesday, Christmas Eve, and throughout the day on Wednesday, Christmas Day.
The cause was the heavy storm of wind and rain that has passed through the peninsula in recent days and the incidents occurred throughout the municipality, from the center and the port, with the collapse of a tent on Passeig de Alfonso XII, to neighborhoods with streetlights and removal of fallen scaffolding and peeling facades, reaching the area of ​​the temporal effects of smaller islands and La Manga.
In most cases, these interventions were carried out upon request and in collaboration with the local police, and the rest of the 112 reporting.
In addition, the municipal Parks and Gardens in charge of the removal of fallen trees and branches from the street.
