Sabic has joined the Network of Chairs of the Technical University of Cartagena to share resources "research, training and practice in the area of ​​optimization of plastic processes," according to the agreement signed today between the Chancellor and UPCT company, a world leader in the field of polyethylene.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of the industrial complex in Cartagena SABIC Sabic, Theo van Eldik, and the president of the José Antonio Franco UPCT, and has benefited from the presence of the CEO on Colleges of the CARM, Luis Javier Lozano.

Researchers at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena work with Sabic in technological projects aimed at modeling reactions in internal production processes and reducing waste discharges at sea.
Studies on chemical reactions, minimization of water evaporation and the risk model validation is also performed.
The company will finance these tasks in R & D while the media UPCT bring their research groups, equipment and facilities.
The Chair will support the academic activities involved in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and performing own seminars, sponsoring courses, assisting in the training plans of the company and promote the direction of final projects.
Specifically, Sabic is committed to providing staff and resources to conduct a training course for students and researchers.
The company also bet on training professionals in their own facilities with grant funding part-time of 10 months and is committed to incorporating your company UPCT a graduate in the field of the Chair for a period of at least one full year.
