The Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension UPCT, Francisco Martínez, today presented the diplomas to the students in the course of urban horticulture.
This is the first batch of specialists trained by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in the creation and management of urban gardens, under the proposed program HORTIS LifeLong Learning EU.
Several trainees are already launching their ideas and projects of urban gardens with different objectives: therapeutic school and environmental education, and rehabilitation of people with various problems and disabilities, including impulse urban communities for the first time will encourage to launch an urban garden on the advice of some of those trained in the course purposes to improve their health and social relations, as its leaders have highlighted, Jesus Ochoa and Adriana Esteban.
