The CEO of the Disability Region De Murcia, Juan Brown, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Care Cartagena, Antonio Calderon, visited on Thursday the apices Day Centre (Association for the Mentally Ill Community Integration of Cartagena).
President of the Association and the director of the center have been taught that they have the facilities located in Santa Ana
Both have used his visit to see first hand the different activities performed and workshops are scheduled for this group, such as pottery, woodworking, restoring old furniture or screen printing.
Also the guitar, dancing, cognitive stimulation and social skills development are some of the other courses that the center organizes for these people.
Also chatted with several of them, both those who come to him as those working on their experience and day to day at this center.
Apices is an association for the social inclusion and comprehensive rehabilitation of people affected by mental illness.
It is integrated into the FEAFES Confederation (state and regional) and the Federation of the Region of Murcia.
It has thirty seats in the day center for people with mental illness dependent concerted through IMAS.
