Collecting toys for needy children started Wednesday with the opening of two of the points that can be delivered, the El Corte Inglés and Eroski.
Councilman Social Care, Antonio Calderón, accompanied by the director of the Municipal Social Services, Antonio Mula, this morning visited the spaces installed for this charity campaign.
During the visit, Calderón Mula and chatted with some of the volunteers who are actively involved in this project that helps the needy and Wednesday and received the first donations.
In addition, they have used to greet the director of El Corte Inglés in Cartagena, Alfredo Carvajal, the responsible for External Relations and Communication, Maria Carmen Gomez and the Eroski center manager, Luciano Velasco.
Until December 28, these points will be open to anyone who wants to donate toys that are in good condition for up to 12 years young.
Both malls gifts will be collected from 10 am to 21.30 pm in the administration building and the City of Cartagena, located in San Miguel, from 9.30 to 13.30.
It will be on December 13 when the Mayor Pilar Barreiro start this charity campaign officially and other places as the Hospital of Saint Lucia or the Students of the Polytechnic University to open.
This campaign is expected to double digits last year in which 2,340 toys were collected.
