On Thursday, 5 December, International Volunteer Day, this date is commemorated with the presentation of the new location of Cartagena Volunteer Monument, which from now will look at the Parque de San Ginés.
The monument, which is a tribute to the city to all those individuals and groups exert social work as volunteers, the sculptor Pedro José Andreu García, who in 2001 donated this work and was erected in Alameda to San Anton start of the refurbishment of this avenue.
For this reason the sculpture was removed in the hope of finding a suitable place, which has now been found after the recent construction of the Park of San Ginés.
The presentation ceremony, chairman of the council of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, at 12.00, were invited representatives of all associations Volunteering Cartagena.
