This morning has started to put the Christmas lights that has contracted by the city of Cartagena to provide atmosphere and enhance the streets of Old Town.
Installation matches the streets where activities are concentrated and the Three Kings parade, as reported by the councilor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia Vargas.
The budget for this year is around 70,000 euros, with which allegorical figures and compounds will be installed for about 250,000 low-power LEDs.
The ignition will take place on 6 December, coinciding with the inauguration of the Nativity, in the Plaza de San Francisco, and will remain for 32 days, until January 6.
Ignition times will be 17:00 to 1:00 am, except Christmas Eve, Eve and the eve of Epiphany, which will be extended until three in the morning.
The savings and energy efficiency will again be the characteristic tonic, with energy-efficient lighting that adds a power of 47 kilowatts, corresponding to about eight houses.
