The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and Odilo cartagenera company today signed an agreement for the creation of Odilo UPCT-Chair to assist in training, research and practice in the area of ​​Management Systems Files and Libraries by incorporating of new technologies.
Odilo is headquartered in Silicon Valley and 80% of its business is in the United States and South America.
The agreement signed by the rector José Antonio Franco and CEO Odilo, Rodrigo Rodriguez, now includes a commitment to the technology firm to sponsor educational activities and R & D, including part-time scholarships to 10 months are included to final year students of the School of Teleco, a call for Prize for Best Thesis in Telecommunication Engineering and contracting for at least one year of recent graduates of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The agreement also includes joint collaboration in training programs of the School of Telecommunications Engineering-UPCT well as specific courses and seminars in graduate programs or through business practices.
At the signing ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Communications, Juan Luis Pedroza, the director of the School of Telecommunications Engineering UPCT, Juan Leandro and CEO of Odilo, Lourdes Gutierrez.
