The Israeli ambassador to Spain, Alon Bar, took part today in the II Forum Middle East Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), which has emphasized its commitment to "open channels of dialogue" to resolve conflicts in a region that , in his view, is in "a time of transition."
The Israeli diplomat considered a "wonderful idea" holding by the UPCT of this forum, which intervened and ambassadors of Palestine, Egypt and Jordan.
And was delighted with the sea view of the assembly hall of the Faculty of Business, where conferences are held.
"It's an ideal place to encourage the spirit of understanding," he said.
Bar is confident in the good progress of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians and concerned about the new position of some countries towards Iran, which considers, "an agreement favorable provisions would not prevent the development of Iran's military nuclear program."
The ambassador has asked from afar not judge this and other conflicts involving Israel as if "some were good and some bad. Nothing is black or white, there are many shades of gray. We are not angels," he admitted .
"But we moved the desire, shared by many others in the region to live in peace and without threats," he added.
As for the region, the diplomat has expressed confidence that researchers and food producers of Murcia and Israel to "work together to improve agricultural products and get the most out of the land without damaging it too much."
