The president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Francisco Vidal Celdran, received this morning at twelve scholarships Argentine students in the sixth edition of the Swallow, program of study and research stays promoted by the Ministry of Presidency in collaboration with the University of Murcia, that is addressed to Murcia and descendants under 35 years living in Argentina.
Accompanied by regional deputies María Dolores Martínez Soler and Antonio Bernal, President of the Assembly has welcomed them to the regional parliament and encouraged them to take advantage of the opportunity provided this program, which, in his judgment, settle a debt of Murcia honor who emigrated to Argentina.
Young people have been delivered from a book "Words crossing the sea", which contains the testimony of Spanish emigrants.
Originally from Cordoba, Mendoza, Cuyo, Tucuman and Jujuy students are mostly grandchildren or great-grandchildren of Murcia, which, since September, expanding at the University of Murcia his law studies, Journalism, Philosophy, Business Administration and Management Business, Psychology, Political Science, Communication, Philosophy, Pharmacy, Environmental Science and Tourism.
After the group photo, the young people visited the chamber where they were briefed on the functions of the regional parliament.
