The first activity of this association, formed mainly by personnel employed by the City of Cartagena but open to all, will take place on Saturday November 16 with a visit to Military Historical Museum of the City
This morning at the Palace Hall presented the new cultural and multidisciplinary association Cartagena, Lucerne, which aims to have greater diversity and presence in the city, both in activities and in ideas and opinions.
To find its origin we must go back a dozen years ago, as the Councillor for Culture, Maria del Rosario Montero, when between staff employee of the City of Cartagena started a cultural movement and n around feasts of their patron saint, Santa Rita.
However, the difference is that now, the activities, which combine painting, exhibitions, photography, model construction or literature, not only delimit fortnight, but that will last throughout the year.
Furthermore, although professionals comprises Hall, around forty and demand continues to rise, is open to all citizens who share the purpose of this non-profit association.
The project has become a reality and since last June is formally constituted and registered in the Register of Cultural Associations. Visibly moved, its president, María José Hernández, said that the choice of name, Lucerne, generated a great debate between partners.
She has been commissioned to explain the details of the cultural program scheduled for the last two months.
The first event will take place on Saturday November 16th at 11.00 pm with a tour of l-Military Historical Museum. Historian and professor at the UPCT, Luis Miguel Perez Adam, offered a different view of the museum collections in this day presented under the title, Cartagena Plaza Fuerte.
Other Perspective.
The following week, particularly on Thursday 21, culture moved to the Archaeological Museum Enrique Escudero de Castro. Again, Luis Miguel Perez Adam will be responsible for introducing, from 20.00 pm on the day Years NODE in Cartagena.
Admission is free until all seats, while taking advantage of the stay at the museum, will be held at 19.30 pm, a tour of the temporary exhibition Clic, a retrospective look at the archeology of Cartagena.
