Preventive work and social awareness is a constant within the diabetic association Cartagena (Sodicar), an entity which this year celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, as recalled by the Councillor for Social Care, Antonio Calderon, during the presentation Scheduled activities for Week of Diabetic XII to be held from 8 to 17 November in the city.
Backed by the motto, Protecting our Future, the celebration on Thursday 14 November, World Diabetes Day, motivates this wide range of leisure and training to citizens in order to raise awareness of this chronic disease and the consequences of not be diagnosed.
This edition also includes a remarkable novelty, ie Diabetes Week and Health, from 11 to 15 November at the Plaza Juan XXIII, from 10 to 14 hours, except on Monday, 11 will also take place 17 to 20 hours.
