The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, within the established services to prevent and prosecute human trafficking and prostitution, has developed the operation 'ZUECA' that has led to the arrest of two people in Cartagena for trafficking offenses human beings on prostitution and the rights of foreign citizens.
The agents, in collaboration with the Inspectorate of Labour and Social Security, have made an inspection of an establishment of the hamlet Marfagones Mills Cartagena, which has identified 19 women who allegedly worked as prostitutes, of which four were in situation irregular in Spanish territory.
We have also detected 21 administrative violations in health, play, snuff, tourism, public entertainment and recreational activities.
The Civil Guard initiated the investigation to have knowledge of the commission of illegal activities related to trafficking in human beings and prostitution in Cartagena, to contrast the information obtained and, if necessary, clarifying the crimes and arrest the perpetrators.
The investigations performed allowed agents to locate the club that was supposedly carried out the crimes under investigation and identify the people who were behind the plot of prostitution.
In recent days, the Meritorious has made an inspection of the building where it was confirmed nineteen women allegedly worked as prostitutes, while four of them being found illegally on Spanish territory, so stopped the owner and the manager the property as alleged perpetrators of human trafficking, prostitution and the rights of foreign citizens.
Similarly, specialized civil guards reported fiscal service 21 administrative violations in health, play, snuff, tourism, public entertainment and recreational activities.
Detainee
In operation 'ZUECA' has proceeded to the arrest, as alleged perpetrators of human trafficking, prostitution and on the rights of foreign citizens, two people identified as:
- Spanish, 43 years and resident of Murcia.
- Colombian, 36, who lives in Cartagena.
One of those arrested has a history of committing crimes related to prostitution.
Effects seized:
As part of the operation has seized various documents related to prostitution.
The detainees, the effects seized and the proceedings have been brought before the Magistrate's Court in Cartagena (Murcia).
