During the event, which starts on Thursday 24 at 19.30 pm, a Mass oficiarse addition, attendees will be explained in what consisted the rehabilitation works of the Church Fathers undertaken by the poor Claretian impairment presented by the property
This Thursday, October 24, at 19.30 hours, will open the facade of the Church Fathers (Sagasta street) upon completion of the refurbishment that has tried to restore the original state of the property.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Public Works and Regional Planning, Antonio Sevilla, the Town Planning, Joaquin Mowing and Social Care, Antonio Calderon, Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca, and the director General of Planning and Housing, Yolanda Muñoz.
After the explanation of the rehabilitation project, led by architect plan coordinator Historic Facades of Cartagena, Mark Ros, and included in the annual 2012 agreement signed between the city of Cartagena and the Autonomous Region, Ministry of Public Works and Planning, will officiate a Mass in the temple of Claretian Fathers.
Began on April 29, 2013, the works, which have affected the four streets occupying the property, Sagasta, Real, Child and Oven, have been undertaken by the poor state of repair that the building had numerous landslides and humidity, color degradation and deterioration of moldings and wood and wrought iron elements.
After out to bid, the project was awarded to Restauralia Cartago SL, by the Board of Directors of the Old Town Municipal de Cartagena SA, body and responsible management of the City Facades Plan under agreement adopted by the municipal council Oct. 2, 1997.
Regarding the final budget amounts to EUR 186,559.43 plus VAT, although the contract was for 245,000 euros, of which 75 percent has been funded by the region and the remaining 25 percent assumed by the property.
