In order to facilitate the opening of business in Cartagena, today enters into force the new Ordinance on Administrative Simplification, which establishes the procedures to expedite the process and, within 24 hours, to launch an activity in the municipality or perform adaptation works the room in which it will run.
Thus, simply submit a site plan, the receipt of payment of the fee and an instance with a sworn statement of the applicant, to open a business in the area that collects the norm.
In addition, the general provisions of the Ordinance provides that, to further streamline the process, from the municipal administration will promote and give priority to the use of electronic means and electronic administration in processing them.
Among the most significant, with this ordinance not only formalities will be reduced to one day, but also expands the number of activities that will benefit from this simplification, covering about 75 percent of businesses, including them, bakeries, cafes, jewelry stores, clothing stores, professional offices or car dealerships.
Of these licenses are excluded, bars and restaurants as regional legislation considers classified activities and works to be carried out on listed buildings.
The precedent of this rule in Cartagena was the so-called express license, in place since 2012, covering 70 percent of the business activities and allowed to open within 10 days.
The new ordinance, passed in June by the plenary of the municipal corporation, was published on October 3 in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia and now produces its entry into force.
