Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSIT) UPCT, along with Spanish Radioafiacionados Union and the company Abertis Telecom, Wednesday commemorate the hundred year history of the coast station Cabo de Palos Radio, whose main contribution has been the protection of human life at sea.
The day conference was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Francisco Martinez, and the director of the ETSIT, Leandro Juan.
Elijah Meana, radio electronic official merchant, Ivan Romera, responsible for the Maritime Radio Control Center of Valencia and Alejandro Alvarez, Professor of Telecommunications, will be the speakers of the talks, which will address the distress and safety service at sea, the frequency of radio and satellite communications.
