The Sports Council of the City of Cartagena has launched the seventh edition of the Sports Outreach Program (ADE) in schools, with the aim of raising awareness of the everyday athletes and sports encourage children and youth.
For this edition, besides the usual format and content of school visits to sports facilities, is presented as a new approach of athletes into schools to share part of the school day with students.
Also continue with the talks and meetings of extreme sports, which were well received the previous year.
Over the previous six editions, have participated in the program over 20,000 young ADE, demonstrating the great success it has garnered in schools and district Cartagena.
Among its objectives is to help promote clubs and athletes, and provide a wider view of sport that includes athletes, coaches, facilities, rules and competitions.
And, ultimately, promote the sport from the ground up and create healthy habits in youth s, through the practice of a sport and more intimate knowledge of it.
In addition to students in grades 5 and 6 of Primary Teaching, also is addressed and university training centers, sports clubs and other basic social and collective centers.
The approach is achieved through visits to centers and facilities where athletes train and perform their activities and witnessing official competitions of different modalities.
This year in addition to the promotion of the clubs and their athletes, they made ​​visits to schools, which also will be announced minority sports.
In this area are important talks and symposium in which athletes share life experiences, supported by visual projections.

Finally there is the organization called Macro-ADE, which involved a lot of young people (between 500 and 3,000), and experience the sensations of a special day with sports athletes chosen specialty.
