The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Antonio Franco, and President of Basketball Cartagena, Pedro Hillocks, have signed this afternoon the collaboration agreement that, among other agreements, will include three students UPCT play this season at the club Cartagena basketball.
The ceremony was also attended by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, who thanked both the UPCT joins the basketball club project as it has had the city of Cartagena to be present at that firm.
The Basketball Club Cartagena is a team with few years of operation, aimed Hillocks, who would like a repeat in the future it held in Madrid by the Institute Maeztu with Estudiantes, but UPCT and Club Basket Cartagena as protagonists.
The three students UPCT, Maria Sanz of Tourism will play in 1st National Division, Antonio Crossbow Civil Engineering and Jacob Hottenstine who shall issue a master in the Faculty of Business, both players Category EBA, are the three students along that this season will play in the basketball club.
Ultimately, this collaboration agreement between the parties, as it has underlined the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension, Francisco Martinez, and thanks to programs like DANU, High Level Athletes University, offers young people the opportunity to reconcile training and sport, following the line taken by the UPCT entity that is committed to comprehensive education.
This agreement is completed with mentoring programs and internships performing at Club Basketball Cartagena UPCT students and other lines parallel and collaborative work between the two entities.
