The Regional Assembly of Murcia morning host from a photographic exhibition on the work of sculptor Francisco Salzillo, to show their support for the declaration as a World Heritage Site of sculpture made by the sculptor Murcia for the morning of Friday in Murcia.
The exhibition in the Courtyard of the municipalities of the Assembly coincide in time with the debate in the plenary session in the morning of a motion in this sense of the parliamentary group deputy, Maria Teresa Marin.
Similar initiatives have already been made in the Assembly on the occasion of the declaration of Intangible Heritage of Humanity on the Feast of the Wine Horses Caravaca de la Cruz or the art of embroidery in Lorca as a Cultural Heritage and matter Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The declaration as a World Heritage Site for the sculptural group Salzillo procesionado Francisco on the morning of Good Friday in Murcia is a vindication of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazarene.
The sculpture, which can be admired at the Museum Salzillo of Murcia, is constituted "by masterpieces of art history, recognized for their technical perfection and idealized naturalism and endowed with a genius that makes them unique in its kind" , it is argued in the preface of the motion, in addition to "be classified as cultural goods according to Spanish legislation on cultural heritage.
The photographic exhibition which opens tomorrow was donated by photographer Carlos Moses Salzillo Museum, after exposing at the Museum of Fine Arts in Murcia in 2007 under the title "Walking In Love and Death".
The exhibition will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 hours.
