Get more involved than that of 2012 with a picture of the city where private cars are relegated to the background by the presence of bicycles, people walking the streets or public transport users are goals that the City Council has proposed for 2013.

In the words of the Councillor for Tourism, Palazón Carolina, City Council's involvement in the European Car Free Day lets you hear the voice of all those groups who selflessly working to improve the mobility of the port city.

But it also takes over the European Union, which invites member countries to adhere to initiatives such as the European Mobility Week.

Thus, one of these pathways is the bicycle, which in addition to reducing pollution levels, allows its users to practice sport in a fun.

Still some way to go, but nobody said it was easy.

And, as noted by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, live in cities designed for motor vehicles and not for citizens. For this reason, he argues that the City, as a government, have the responsibility to bring the city to citizen, making its most human, livable and healthy.

On September 22 is a point and followed, since after the second edition, both the City of Cartagena and the collective MoviliCT, begin to work, not only in the next day without cars, but in return the Sustainable Mobility Award convened by the Consistory in 2008 for emplazarlos as another act within the European Mobility Week.
