On Saturday, August 3, Cartagena already marked on the calendar a new appointment with the sports, tourism and solidarity. This is the V edition of Cabo de Palos Cross that, with 5 kilometers long and 2,000 participants, back again as a showcase resort of Cabo de Palos and La Manga del Mar Menor.
The Athletics La Manga Club organizes the event along with the collaboration of the municipalities of Cartagena and San Javier, and sponsorship of numerous entities.
For this reason, and on behalf of the city of Cartagena, attended the presentation of it in the Hotel Entremares, the mayors of Sports and Tourism Palazón Diego Ortega and Carolina, respectively.
A new feature of this edition is the change of direction of travel, as opposed to usual, boosting both runners as vacationers can enjoy the facilities of the area. The starting gun for the race, scoring for Running Circuit Challenge of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia (FAMU) will be at seven o'clock, having the same point of departure and arrival: Paseo del Puerto ( between the Church and the local police in Cabo de Palos).

SAFETY DEVICE
During the test there will be members of the local police to control the race with the support of Civil Protection. Likewise, riders will have the medical service, controlled by the Sports Medicine Center of the City of Cartagena, with strong medical device and ambulance for Civil Protection and Murcia Health Service. Altogether, more than a hundred people will work in the proper development of the V Cross Cabo de Palos.
