The team of students and teachers UPCT-Bereco of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has been runner-up in the Green Prix of Valencia, a competition of environmentally friendly vehicles that have played around 30 teams this weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo de Cheste.
UPCT-Bereco Team competed in the solar prototype category after making several improvements in its solar car, including the integration of photovoltaic cells in the body of the vehicle itself for better drag coefficient and to meet the technical requirements of the new regulations art competitions.
The second place finish is "very gratifying victory after a year of work and improvements to the car", according to Juan Gabriel Faxas team leader.
Faxas also emphasizes "team performance, under pressure could get technical solutions, race strategy and flawless execution by the pilot, Patricia Pérez Sabater".
In short, considered to have been "a great experience ahead of improvements in the car for future competitions."
