The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) issued last July 11 Memory favorable report on the implementation of the curriculum of Master of Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
With this Master, Industrial School completes all qualifications adaptation to the European Higher Education.
These studies, which qualify for the practice of the regulated profession of Industrial Engineering, have a duration of 120 ECTS (2 years) and students may choose a complementary manner by performing internships in companies and participate in mobility programs (Erasmus ).
Although still pending formalities University Council and approval of implementation by the Autonomous Community, the School has made a forecast of 40 seats for the academic year 2013/2014.
This is to meet the demand of the first engineers to Grado, facilitate the adaptation of the students who are still studying industrial engineering second cycle as well as offering training credits to those engineers who wish to pursue a PhD later.
According to the survey conducted in 2013 by the General Council of Industrial Engineers, the overall employment rate for these graduates is 86%.
In addition, the "Fourth Report on races with more outputs professions" of Adecco, indicates that the Industrial Engineering stands as the second most requested qualifications companies in their skilled jobs.
The offer of the Master in Industrial Engineering will add to the current programs in Renewable Energy Master, Master in Environmental Engineering and Chemical Process and Biotechnology, and Master in Electrochemistry: Science and Technology.
