Levante Beach in Cabo de Palos took place this morning flag hoisting quality Q and blue ensign, the first to be flown this summer in Cartagena beaches.
The mayor of the city, Pilar Barreiro, has attended this event which has symbolized the reception of the eleven distinctive quality Q and the eight blue flags awarded to the beaches of the municipality.
The accessibility, water quality and infrastructure are some of the requirements for the granting of these prestigious awards, which once again have been renovated in Cartagena. The hoisting of this flag is a tribute to work of the coast from the point of view of quality tourist beaches and waters, the mayor stressed.
The best beaches in Spain are in Cartagena, concluded the mayor, who during the symbolic lifting has been accompanied by Council of Infrastructure and Tourism, Francisco Espejo and Palazón Carolina, along with the mayors of Health and Safety, Ángel Nicolás Bernal and Mariano Garcia.

The eight that look blue flags awarded by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education are Cala del Pino, the beaches of Poniente and Levante Minor Islands, Sea Glass, Levante Beach in Cabo de Palos, Cala Cortina, San Ginés in The Azohía and Paradise Beach.
The Q of Quality and blue flags are two distinctly different.
The Q of Quality is primarily focused on the quality of tourist services offered in public or private beach.
The Q of Tourist Quality Standards include two types of requirements, some related to the outcome (benefit) of the various services and related systems and methods (processes) necessary to ensure the level of quality of services.
