Following a meeting of the Local Coordinator of Union, Progress and Democracy (UPyD) in Cartagena, Fulgencio Egea, with a group of aid workers belonging to a company aimed at some beaches of the municipality, we are poorly informed members that there were no Civil Protection possessed the necessary experience to perform their work, and were stationed in areas of greatest danger for swimmers.
Our training is not intended to question the work of all members of Civil Protection, and their experience and training, but a small group of new members, and the destination where they were assigned.
Which is why we asked for an explanation from the officials and authorities responsible for the organization of the lifeguards.
We understand and are aware that there was a pointed statement bad exposure, and our apologies to those who understood that questioned his experience, training and effort of work they do every day, such as in rescue beaches.
