The CEO of Heritage, Informatics and Telecommunications, Eduardo Linares, today presented Caritas diocesan director of Cartagena, José Luis Leante, and episcopal vicar Caritas delegate, Luis Emilio Pascual a refrigerated vehicle to be used to perform work humanitarian food collection and distribution of fresh and perishable parish Caritas units in the region.
Linares stressed that "this issue is rewarding because it carries an action of humanitarian and social, direct solidarity with the most needy, and also involves giving a new use to a vehicle that had served its role in regional administration" .
With this donation, Caritas extends the fleet for the distribution of food.
Specifically, this van fridge is essential for transporting foods that require cold chain conserve.
They may also collect specific food for fish and other businesses donate products, and will increase the volume of kilos in donations, which will benefit needy families.
The vehicle is type van refrigerator, Mercedes Benz Vito 110 CDI model, three-seater, with cargo area equipped with a cooling system independent.
This vehicle has been used for the provision of services in the public health program and Inspections Directorate General of Health and previously also the transport of drugs and vaccines to various health centers in the region.
